How The Alcohol Free Drinks Company Started in Yorkshire
The Alcohol Free Drinks Company is a Yorkshire-based specialist supplier of independently produced alcohol free drinks, founded in 2021 to serve hospitality trade customers and everyday shoppers. Founder Andy Mee spotted that the non-drinker was overlooked by hospitality even as demand climbed (Harrogate Advertiser coverage of Andy Mee).
Pubs, bars and restaurants had plenty for drinkers and almost nothing sophisticated for anyone choosing alcohol free drinks. We fixed that with a curated range, not a warehouse full of everything.
Andy Mee: Founder and World Alcohol Free Drinks Awards Judge
Andy Mee founded The Alcohol Free Drinks Company and has judged at the World Alcohol Free Drinks Awards since the first awards in 2022. He personally curates every product sold on the site.
He has also noted a generational shift: Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, are increasingly choosing not to drink to excess (York Press feature on Andy Mee). That changes what venues need to stock.
Alcohol Free Beer, Non Alcoholic Wine and 0% Drinks We Stock
Our range covers alcohol free beer, non alcoholic wine, alcohol free gin and other 0% drinks, all from independent producers, deliberately avoiding the big-label brands found in every supermarket.
For beer drinkers, the Yorkshire Alcohol Free Beer Gift Box | 6 Bottles brings together six independent brews curated by Andy himself. Wine and gin drinkers are covered too, along with booze free drinks for anyone building a round.
| Range | What It Covers | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Alcohol free beer | Independent 0% brews | Home drinking, venue menus |
| Non alcoholic wine | Premium still and sparkling | Dinners, celebrations |
| Alcohol free gin | Spirit alternatives and mixes | Cocktails, gifts |
We also supply to the trade. If you run a bar, restaurant, sports club or hotel, talk to us about supplying your venue and we will help you build a range that sells. Bargain hunters can browse our sale section for reduced independent picks.
Finding alcohol free drinks that taste worth the money, rather than sweetened water in a nice bottle, is still harder than it should be. The Alcohol Free Drinks Company exists to close that gap, with a Yorkshire-based, independently focused range curated by a World Alcohol Free Drinks Awards judge. Whether you want alcohol free beer, non alcoholic wine or alcohol free gin, or you run a venue looking to serve something better, get in touch.

What types of alcohol-free drinks does the company stock?
The range covers alcohol free beer, non alcoholic wine, alcohol-free gin and other 0% drinks, plus pre-mixed cocktails and gift boxes. Everything comes from independent brands rather than the big drinks labels, so customers get booze free drinks they will not find on every supermarket shelf. Bundles and gift sets are also available for birthdays, Christmas and weddings.
Does The Alcohol Free Drinks Company supply to bars and restaurants?
Yes. Supply to the trade is a core part of the business, with accounts for bars, restaurants, sports clubs and hotels that want a better alcohol-free list.
