Miris Blend Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium alcohol-free red produced in Germany from grapes grown near Hungary’s Lake Balaton. Its deep ruby colour sets the scene for ripe berries, blackcurrant, dark plum and vanilla, with silky tannins and a balanced berry finish.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of ripe red berries, leather, vanilla and forest. The palate is fruit-driven and sweet, with blackcurrant, dark plum and an earthy note. Freshness and medium, silky tannins bring balance, followed by a lingering berry finish.
How to Serve
Pour it for a relaxed evening or bring it to the table with hearty dishes such as coq au vin, beef bourguignon or Beef Wellington. Its fruitiness also pairs well with Mexican food, tandoori lamb, or Parmesan and Manchego. For a final course, try it with dark chocolate desserts, or enjoy a glass on its own by the fire.
From Vineyard to Bottle
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow near Lake Balaton in Hungary, in mineral volcanic soils with calcareous and sandy sections. The sunny, temperate microclimate is moderated by the lake, bringing long, even ripening, cool nights and freshness. Double Guyot pruning balances yield and quality, while the September-to-October harvest is picked by hand to select ripe, healthy grapes.
Cold maceration before fermentation helps draw out colour and aromas, followed by traditional fermentation in steel tanks. Half the wine is aged for at least a year in large oak barrels for added complexity and balance. Before dealcoholisation, the wine is aged in tanks for at least nine months, then gently vacuum-distilled at 50 millibars and 31°C to help preserve its aromas.
