A vibrant, fruit-forward non-alcoholic sparkling rosé from the Palatinate
Miris Blend Édition Premier Sparkling Rosé is a lively pink wine from Germany’s Palatinate. A long skin maceration gives it impressive depth and berry-rich intensity, while persistent bubbles make it a celebratory aperitif and an easy choice for summer meals.
Tasting Notes
Deep pink in the glass, with lively, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with green pear, citrus and wild strawberry. Fresh berry flavours carry through the palate, where medium-plus sweetness and medium acidity create balance and a rounded, medium body. The flavours linger on a long finish.
How to Serve
Enjoy as an aperitif or serve with dinner. Try it with grilled salmon and honey glaze, duck breast with orange sauce, or Norwegian meatballs with lingonberry jam. For a memorable cheese course, pair blue cheese on a spiced cracker with marmalade or dark grapes. It also makes a lovely match for strawberry tart, chocolate fondant with berry compote, or wild berry pie with vanilla ice cream.
From Vineyard to Bottle
The grapes come from several sub-regions of the Palatinate. Northern vineyards have dry, nutrient-poor soils that store heat, while looser calcareous soils in the south retain water efficiently. The sunny Mediterranean-style climate, protection from the Weinbiet mountain and daily fall winds help create favourable temperature variations. Gentle pruning limits yields for concentration; September grapes are hand-selected before machine harvesting.
After harvest, the grapes rest with their skins for six to eight hours before pressing, building colour and intensity. Fermentation at low temperatures in steel tanks develops fruity aromas. Dealcoholisation uses patented aroma-recovery technology and gentle vacuum distillation at 60 mbar and 35°C. The separated aromas are recovered and added back to the wine to preserve its full aroma spectrum.
