What is the CVD System?

Smashed Drynks owns the first and currently only Cool Vacuum Distill (CVD) unit in the UK, based in Manchester. They start with great-tasting, fully alcoholic beer and cider. An oxygen-free vacuum chamber gently heats the liquid for just a few minutes — removing all of the alcohol without damaging the characteristics or taste of the original liquid. The result is a genuinely refreshing drink with the full taste and integrity of the original beer, minus the alcohol.
