Thornbridge Brewery ….
…. story began back in 2005 when the founders Jim Harrison and Simon Webster recruited two young brewers to brew on a second hand 10-barrel kit in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall, a grade II listed building situated in Ashford in the Water, Derbyshire.
The original Thornbridge Brewery was based in a converted joiner’s and stonemason’s workshop within the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. The kit in the brewery was relocated in early 2021 to Thornbridge Brewery’s Riverside site.
Thornbridge knowledge in the craft beer scene means they are highly respected within the beer industry. Thornbridge recognises that not only quality but consistency and innovation are key to creating amazing and beautifully balanced beer. With over 350 Industry recognised awards we are proud to be part of such an exciting Craft Beer scene.
Thornbridge Hall is surrounded by 12 acres of quirky and quintessentially English gardens, set in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The gardens and Quackers Cafe are open to the public 7 days a week from 10-4 if you ever fancy a nice walk in the peak district.

Deliciously clean, full-bodied alcohol-free Pale Ale.
The malt base is light but classic American hops, Amarillo and Cascade, as used for a kick of lemon, peach and apricot. They add a touch of orange peel with the light pithiness giving a little extra mouthfeel and overall character.
Zero Five pours a deep amber, with a foaming head that quickly disappears leaving a few white bubbles wandering on the surface looking to cling to the side of the glass.
The aroma is dominated by malty caramel at first, but there’s a load of mango or lychee in there too with a delicate sweetness. It is malty but with less caramel than promised on the nose. The bitterness, which leads to some lemon and grapefruit flavours mixed with the malt, lingers in the finish, which is quite dry. Despite the sweetness in the aroma.
