Mash Gang Unlucky Charms – Cereal Milk Pale Ale

Mash Gang Unlucky Charms – Cereal Milk Pale Ale ~ 440ml Can

The return of the beer that probably kicked off Mash Gang’s reputation as a bunch of unstable maniacs making beers that only an absolute nutter would want to drink. This has not been brewed since Nov 2021. This is unlikely to be rebrewed anytime soon. A hazy pale ale like no other, highly experimental, sweet and strange like drinking fizzy cereal milk.

Jordan says of this beer:

“A lot of NA breweries were started because there wasn’t a great choice of alcohol-free beers. But by the time that we had started. There was a pretty damn good choice about. From Lagers to Hazy IPAs (RIP Ridgeside NBTR) What we felt was missing was the really out there off-centre craft, beers, things like imperial Stout milkshake, IPA, and yes cereal milk pale ales. The standing argument was they were not really a beer to begin with. Not a good argument tbh.

One of our most requested re-brew’s is unlucky charms. It has a devout and very loud fanbase. This beer is really unique in that its aroma and flavour are almost totally disconnected and it’s a beer that sounds like a very bad idea. Mix vanilla and a plethora of candy fruits. But the beer comes across as a parallel, and there’s this great cognitive dissonance between how it smells, and how it tastes, so a lot of people that are very hesitant, but this beer would be too much actually kind of loved it, and then of course it does upset a great deal of craft beer folks who think it’s going too far. On this occasion, they may just be right. This has not been brewed since Nov 2021. This is unlikely to be rebrewed anytime soon. ”

Mash Gang changing stuff.….

….From a start-up in lockdown to becoming one of the most important brands in the AF beer market, they make an amazing core range then comes the drop(s)…..

Mash Gang has brewed beers from lagers and pales to sours & stouts they just push flavours and mouth feel to a whole new level. When the drops have dropped and they go out of stock that’s it! so buy them when they are in stock. No amount of begging will get Reign in Blood back in stock so get used to it and try what is out there before that is gone and you’re moaning about not having had time to try it!

Surprisingly they run their business through the Japanese model of Kaizen, which translates as change for the better and continuous improvement. They are focused on slow, sustained growth. This is why they wanted to spend the early years of this business working on a solid foundation where you build up trust with consumers that they always deliver a high-quality product, and that they are always relentlessly innovating.

They say they are never satisfied with what we do!

Furthermore, no single recipe stays the same, and just because they contract brew, that doesn’t mean they don’t have an eye on quality. Everything they do is around the quality of the beer…. enough said, the only way to really appreciate these guys is to taste their beers…..
